It will not give internal temperatures if you are pointing it at a reflective surface.. I am waiting to see whether it will work for what I really needed it for..I was disappointed as it will not track the heat of boiling water with a lid over it..nor much good for hot water bathing.

The screw is so tight you cannot unscrew and without unscrewing how can you put the battery. Its terrible and after trying to unscrew for few times the shape of screw changes and you cannot even unscrew.

Very easy to use on its basic setting. I'm using this to measure surfaces from 300 to 700 celsius so it being inaccurate by 5 - 10 degrees is no big deal for me. I imagine this has a greater effect at lower temps.
