This is cool - or possibly hot. This digital thermometer from "V-RESOURCING" is a useful gadget to have around but really only if you need a ballpark figure. I can't really vouch for the accuracy of its readings but it's close from what I can tell. My original use for trying this was with PC components when tweaking settings. Using this and checking internally monitored temperatures with HWMonitor put the results 'around' the same area. In fairness it was more useful to use to see increases in temperature rather than the figures themselves. It's also quite useful for checking the location of hot water pipes behind the wall. While you're not going to get industrial grade equipment here it's great for the basics and at a very cheap price (£12.99 at the time of review).

Handy bit of kit, and a brilliant price point. I've always wondered what the temperature is in my 'sun room' that was built at least 25 years ago and is scorching hot in the summer. I've had thermometers in the past that have 'blown'. This was easy to use, but I've not had the door shut on my sunroom yet, so I'll report back. Nice big display.

Priced at £15.99 I think this is a bargain and it comes with batteries. It is built to that price and is maybe not a “professional tool” but in my extensive testing/(playing) it worked as expected. I am always pleased with a decent instruction manual which this has. It explains how to use it, the possible errors that may build up and how to counter them. There is added functionality over point press and read, that you may want to use depending on your needs. I took the temperature of everything including parts of me and when I could compared them against know values. When used as described I think it was accurate to within about 3% which is IMO good. I will be using it and if it breaks I will let you know.

This temperature sensor is pretty useful, I can say its accurate enough for me but I have no real way of seeing just how accurate it is. It has max/min options and unit choices of F and C. Been using it a couple of weeks and I like it for checking the working temperature of equipment etc. It even came with batteries. Recommended.

This V·RESOURCING non-contact infrared thermometer is a really great accessory and seems a bit more premium than the usual run-of-the-mill temperature guns. It’s very compact and modern looking, with a large colour LCD backlight display, plus it has a wide temperature range and adjustable emissivity for accurate readings on different surfaces. The thermometer is quite durable, though, and seems pretty accurate and it works well. The laser positioning with 13 points makes aiming easy and precise, and the response time is quick in my opinion, giving results in less than a second. The controls are easy to use, and the display is clear and easy to read, so you can check temperatures pretty much hassle-free. It is also pretty versatile, and is suitable for cooking, oven use, engine checks, HVAC, and more, it also comes with max/min and data hold functions for convenience. You also get batteries included, so you are not always worrying about buying extras. Would have been nice to have a carry pouch or case, but I am just being picky, and you cannot have everything. :D This is honestly a really great choice in my opinion, it does feel premium, so I think it is great value for money. Ultimately, if you want a non-contact thermometer that is quite durable (and actually accurate), pretty easy to use, and keeps your projects or cooking on track, this is a great choice!
