I was attracted to this device as it was a snub nose design and relatively compact but was disappointed to discover that it needs a 9V battery. Thanks to modern low power ICs and solid state buck boost converters these are almost non-existent in modern devices and good riddance. Fortunately a 9V battery is provided but the one I got was flat. After an initial 30 minutes of frustration I was about to ship this back to Amazon as dead-on-arrival before I thought to try another battery from an ancient voltmeter. The same voltmeter confirmed the supplied battery as 6.4V so basically useless. Yeah so the unit now works although the instructions are really bad and the case is laughable. Think of unit sandwiched between two small bits of cardboard stuffed into a sock. Finally the laser pattern is distorted and cropped making me think the optics are not even aligned and does not bode well for accuracy. It did the job I bought it for but it's not an item in my toolset to be proud of.

This Infrared Thermometer works just fine, only problem is, if you leave the battery in it drains it completely flat over night (£5 Duracell at that). And to be honest its a bit of a fuss removing the battery, this thing really needs a on off switch.

It arrived quickly. It was easy to set up. Easy to work. I got this to check up on the thermometer I already had in my work fridge. This was give the temperature of the items in the fridge as my original fridge thermometer only gave the air temperature. So It’s more accurate and is easy to use. What’s not to like.

I love this model temp reader as it’s very short bodied , light weight, and reliable readings for checking engine heat signatures is more dependent on access in confined spaces that the brand name on the box. To date it’s been reliable enough to earn its place in my toolkit as a marine engineer . Sea water kills all tools eventually in this trade , so with an attractive price I can afford to take the chance that so long as it’s able to maintain stable readings for 6 weeks , it’s pound for pound better value than professional grade equipment from major brands . The back light is very helpful as it doesn’t obscure the display readings and it even came with a pair of cheap batteries. Remember though , reliable depends on your batteries so my advice , buy this but use better quality batteries and you’ll be happy 😊

Avoid this machine at all costs, it's junk. Looks impressive, feels impressive, fresh battery (supplied) barely switches on. Would never and could never rely on any measurement coming from this machine after this initial experience. Why go through the bother of setting up tooling, making the electronics, making a smartphone app for it, using plastic, rubberizing the surface so that it feels higher quality than its competitors and then utilizing an assembly line only for this to be the end product (landfill bait)? In short: Returning this paperweight for something that works

Subito dopo l'arrivo del prodotto, ho ricevuto una mail da parte del venditore che mi ringraziava per l'acquisto e mi chiedeva se ero soddisfatto. Ho fatto presente della mancanza delle istruzioni e mi sono state immediatamente inviate via mail.
